Ormond-By-The Sea is a quaint seaside community between Ormond Beach & Flagler Beach on Florida’s central east coast. It is on a barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Halifax River. It was frequented by John D. Rockefeller who built a home there, which is now a local museum. Henry Flagler was another summer personality that spent much time here. Ormond Beach is now known as the birthplace of speed, due to the early auto races in the 1900s. The beach town is a 15 minute drive from Daytona, where the International Speedway is located and 70 miles from Disney World. For those that love to drive a car or Jeep on the beach, you are able to do so on the world famous Daytona Beach. Enjoy zip-lining, movie theaters, swimming with dolphins, visiting museums, and much more.
