Obsessing Over Fenty Beauty

Rihanna recently launched her own beauty line, Fenty Beauty. I decided to buy some of the products to see if I liked it, because lets be honest, who doesn’t want the latest makeup- especially when it’s created by a celebrity like Rihanna. When I received the package, I wanted to test out the makeup right away. The packaging was also really pretty and simple. I bought the Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation (150), Match Stix Trio (light), Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter (Lightening Dust & Fire Crystal) and the Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer (Fenty Glow).

I couldn’t wait to try the new drop, so I put on the makeup almost immediately and then proceeded to make dinner and watch some TV. I even hopped in the shower and splashed my face with water, quickly realizing that I had makeup on! Once I got out of the shower and dried off, the highlighter was still making my cheeks glow. I am still obsessing over Fenty Beauty and I think that Rihanna did an amazing job. I can’t forget to mention that in her first makeup drop, she released 40 shades of foundations…talk about inclusivity! Riri deserves a big round of applause.

My favorite Youtube celebrity makeup guru, Jeffree Star, has done some reviews on the popular beauty line. He has reviewed the first Fenty Beauty drop and the new holiday “Galaxy” collection, which I had to get my hands on as soon as I watched the video. If it’s Jeffree Star approved, then you know it’s good! The colors of everything I purchased are unique and fun, just like Riri herself. I bought two Cosmic Gloss lip glitters (Gal On The Moon & Spacesuit) as well as the Starlit hyper-glitz lipstick (Supernova) and the Eclipse 2-in-1 glitter release eyeliner (Alien Bae).

BAM Beauty Bar

I was immediately impressed when I walked into the grand opening of BAM Beauty Bar, last month. It has to be one of the prettiest salons in Dallas, with the best photo-op in West Village. I absolutely loved it. The interior of the salon is sleek and chic. The unique wall behind the check-in desk is covered with white 3D flowers and it is definitely picture-worthy. This chic salon offers blowouts, makeup, special monthly packages and uses amazing products like Balmain Hair Couture and Dyson Hair Dryers. I have been wanting to try the Dyson Supersonic hair dryers for so long now. At the end of the event, everyone received goodie bags with delicious macaroons. If you stop by the salon, don’t forget, it’s the perfect photo-op! @BamBeautyBar
